Skip hire Scotland, made simple.
Choose the right skip, understand the full price and sort any road permit before delivery. For homes, trades and businesses across Scotland.
Rubbish removal is now available across Scotland.
If the waste is already ready, includes bulky items or there is nowhere to leave a skip, a crew-loaded collection may suit the job better.
The common skip sizes. One clear choice.
Start with the job, not the yard number. Bag counts and dimensions are useful guides; waste weight and site access matter too.

See size detailsMeasurements are typical, not exact. Skip designs vary by supplier. We confirm dimensions when access is tight.
You point to the waste. We sort the rest.
Good skip hire should remove questions, not create more of them. We check the job, placement and collection plan before anything arrives.

Delivery and collection
Fill to the level line and tell us when it is ready to collect.
Driveway? Usually no permit. Public road? Plan ahead.
Councils set their own fees and notice periods. We ask where the skip will sit before we promise a delivery date.
The whole skip must stay inside your boundary.
A parking suspension or extra controls may also apply.
Skip hire across Scotland
We are managed from Glasgow and cover mainland Scotland. Local availability, ferry access and council rules are confirmed from the delivery postcode.

What can go in your skip?
Most ordinary building, garden and household clearance waste is fine. Special and hazardous items need a different route.
Skip hire questions, answered clearly
If your job is unusual, call with a complete waste list and clear access details.
Call NowDo I need a permit for a skip in Scotland?
You normally need a council permit when a skip will sit on a public road, pavement, verge or other council-managed land. A skip fully inside a private drive or work site normally does not need a road permit.
Who arranges the skip permit?
The skip supplier will normally check the placement and deal with the roads authority process. Tell us the exact address, dates and placement early because lead times and council fees vary.
How high can I fill a skip?
Keep every item level with or below the top edge. An overloaded skip cannot be carried safely and may need material removed before collection.
Can I put soil and rubble in a large skip?
Heavy waste needs careful sizing. A smaller 2, 4 or 6 yard skip is often better for soil, bricks and concrete. A 16 yard skip is for light, bulky waste and should not be filled with dense material.
How long can I keep the skip?
Hire periods vary by area and job. We confirm the included period in writing before you book. If the skip is on a road, its collection date must stay within the permit dates.
What happens to the waste?
Loads are taken through authorised waste facilities, where reusable and recyclable materials can be separated. Ask for the waste carrier or transporter registration details before booking any operator.
