About our service

A Scotland-wide skip service with Glasgow roots.

We help households, trades and businesses choose the right container, plan safe access and understand the real cost before delivery.

Why the site exists

Skip hire should not feel like a guessing game.

Most customers do not hire skips every week. They should not need to learn waste-industry language just to clear a kitchen or garden.

Our job is to ask the useful questions: What is the waste? How much is there? Where will the skip sit? Can the lorry reach it? Does the council need to approve the road position?

Those answers shape a clear quote and a smoother delivery. We cover Scotland from a Glasgow base, using the local postcode to check availability, access and council requirements.

People behind the service

A helpful team at the end of the phone.

When you call, we ask about the postcode, waste, access and placement. That short conversation helps us recommend the safest size and explain any road-permit step before delivery.

Responsible waste handling

Registration should be easy to check.

SEPA says waste transporters must provide their registration number. Our company and registration details are supplied with written quote and booking paperwork so customers can verify the operator before handing waste over.

Do I need a permit for a skip in Scotland?

You normally need a council permit when a skip will sit on a public road, pavement, verge or other council-managed land. A skip fully inside a private drive or work site normally does not need a road permit.

Who arranges the skip permit?

The skip supplier will normally check the placement and deal with the roads authority process. Tell us the exact address, dates and placement early because lead times and council fees vary.

How high can I fill a skip?

Keep every item level with or below the top edge. An overloaded skip cannot be carried safely and may need material removed before collection.

Can I put soil and rubble in a large skip?

Heavy waste needs careful sizing. A smaller 2, 4 or 6 yard skip is often better for soil, bricks and concrete. A 16 yard skip is for light, bulky waste and should not be filled with dense material.

How long can I keep the skip?

Hire periods vary by area and job. We confirm the included period in writing before you book. If the skip is on a road, its collection date must stay within the permit dates.

What happens to the waste?

Loads are taken through authorised waste facilities, where reusable and recyclable materials can be separated. Ask for the waste carrier or transporter registration details before booking any operator.
