Bridge of Don Recycling Centre
Claymore Drive, Bridge of Don, AB23 8TUWinter: Mon–Fri 10am–4.45pm; weekends 9am–4.45pm
Aberdeen has four household waste and recycling centres at Bridge of Don, Bucksburn, Hazlehead and Tullos. Residents should take proof of address and check the live vehicle rules before travelling.
Cars and small vans can use the sites under the current access rules, but some visits and vehicle types need advance booking. Proof of an Aberdeen address is required. Vehicles must be below the council’s stated limits. Household centres cannot accept commercial or trade waste, even when it comes from work at a home.
The four sites give useful coverage across the city. Summer hours begin 29 March 2026 and winter hours begin 25 October 2026. For a full property clearance or building project, compare the time and lifting involved in several trips with one correctly planned skip.
Opening times and site access can change. The council page below always takes priority.
Sort your materials before arrival and allow enough time to unload safely before the last-entry time.
