Fife has a wide network of recycling centres, including Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy, Glenrothes, St Andrews, Cupar and Dalgety Bay. Opening days, lunchtime closures and booking rules differ by site.
Cupar, Dalgety Bay and Ladybank require bookings for every vehicle. Other sites may require a booking according to the vehicle type. Check the chosen centre before leaving. Fife sites are for residents’ domestic waste. Proof of address may be requested. Small vans and permitted trailers normally require booking, while trade waste is not accepted.
Fife’s network is broad, but the nearest site is not always open on the day you need it. Use the council directory to check the exact centre, material list, season and vehicle. For a renovation or multi-room clearance, a local skip can keep the project moving without repeated runs.
Opening times and site access can change. The council page below always takes priority.
Sort your materials before arrival and allow enough time to unload safely before the last-entry time.
