Inverness Recycling Centre
Henderson Drive, Henderson Road, Inverness, IV1 1TRVans and trailers must book
The Highland council area has more than 20 recycling centres, from Inverness and Fort William to Skye, Caithness, Sutherland and Wester Ross. Hours vary considerably, so the individual centre page is essential.
Cars without trailers normally do not need to book, but vans and trailers must book at specified centres. Highland asks for at least 48 hours’ notice for those bookings. Vehicles must meet the stated size and weight limits. DIY waste cannot be taken in a van or trailer under the current Highland rules, and household centres do not accept trade waste.
Distance matters more in the Highlands. Check whether the centre is open, accepts the material and allows the vehicle before making a long journey. A skip can be useful for a planned clearance, but remote delivery availability and transport cost must be confirmed from the postcode.
Opening times and site access can change. The council page below always takes priority.
Sort your materials before arrival and allow enough time to unload safely before the last-entry time.
